Let Me Testify
So there is NO misunderstanding, let me testify, the power of the healing our
Heavenly Father has bestowed upon me. In ’08 I was diagnosed with lung cancer.
Most everyone knows that’s a death sentence! Not in my case!
More recently I was diagnosed with a heart problem in two hospitals, in Ft. Worth
and in Bakersfield. Either they both malfunctioned exactly the same way, or
once again, the Lord stepped in and altered the condition. An angiogram proved it
all wrong. My heart is perfect!
It’s almost embarrassing to know that the Lord cares
that much for me. But, I am gonna shout it to the entire world. He healed me either
at my request or someone else’s There were a lot of prayers involved
He also guided the hands of other special doctors and was able to properly relocate
my Atlas. But never for a moment do I give credit or claim any myself.
The Man upstairs is still in charge.
I am gonna be 75 this coming April and I am a walking miracle
I might add a Healthy miracle.
I give all the thanks to my Heavenly Father and to my
wonderful family, Theresa, Jenessa and Bennie.

Merle I am so glad you are doing great and give God all the praise for your healing..GOD is good. We have been praying for you and your family and for all your band members ou all are great and we love you all.
Dear Merle,
As i battle with breast cancer, I think of your health battles and how you have dealt with them through faith, perseverance and of course, your music. You have spoken for the common man, spoken your personal truth and how you see the world. I hope your are doing well sir! At 43 and an amateur singer, music is helping me as I face my own cancer. Thank you sharing your music with all of us who think you are what music is all about. All the best to you and yours.
Best Regards,
Sharon
Congratulations Merle on your recovering health. Indeed God and forgiveness have everything to do with this. I have met you up close and personal and was shocked at what an ass I thought you were. Judgement isn’t for me to decide, so I just prayed for you that day. I did dig a little into your past and I thought to myself, no wonder. Music seems to speak to society’s hearts and who people are really doesn’t seem to matter when we are great stars. We all seem to find God during tragities. May God bless us all with such forgiveness and grace.
Well i want to start by saying thank you. Im 36 and since i could remember my dad always played your music. He like got lung cancer and spread to his brain but he was so tough he still tried to be the dad he always was. Well one day i was at work and heard them advertise for your show at emu in ypstilanti mi. I got to take my dad to see you it was our first and last concert together. He just loved it. Thank you for continuing to do what u do and helping to make that memory for me. My dad passed on 9 11 11. And everytime i here momma tried or any hag jam i remember that day.
Glad to hear you give god all the glory, i play in a family band in northern ca., pretty close to shasta. we are country gospel, and flavor your style alot. we all cut our teeth on your music. if you ever have time and on the computer look us up gods country band is the name of our band , from northern ca.
Merle I am your biggest fan. After reading this article I thought just how proud your mom would be. I know she was a member of the lords church. I hope to see you soon God bless

Merle,
I love your comments. I think the man upstairs loves your voice just as much as we all do! You truly have a God given talent and you should be so proud! I turned 40 this past March and I’ve listened to you all of my life. I’ve been blessed to hear you on my daddy’s radio as I used to ride with him in his tow truck around our tiny little town in Virginia at the ripe old age of 7 or 8!! I’m so elated I’ve been able to see you in concert twice. I wish it could be more often but I can sing along with you everyday on all of the CD’s I have of you! May God keep you and that beautiful voice in his loving hands! God Bless you and Keep you!! Always the best to you and your family!!! Love and Hugs!!
Dear Merle, Can’t believe I am only hearing your music, for the first time in my life, now at age 65. For some reason I never listened to CW, having grown up in the midwest (my great loss!). But driving from MN to AZ recently, I found myself drawn to a CW radio station, and literally was emotionally drawn to your voice on a song, which I can’t even remember. Just this past month I picked up my 1st CD of yours in a Walmart bin for $5 and have listened to it so many times, I can make a sad attempt to mimmick your yodeling style in the hobo song. One last thing, I started praying for you before I heard you were ill or had been hospitalized. I’ve been reading every website on your life, and upset I missed your PBS special a few years back. I just knew somehow we were family, in Christ. We’ll probably never meet this side of heaven, but someday I pray we’ll meet face to face in eternity, where there is no more sorrow or tears, rejoicing in our Savior’s great love for us.
Hello out There, First Off Happy Belated Birthday, I did not forget I lost one of my dearest friends lately and I have been sick with double phemonia, I love how you do openly say I Love Jesus… You are the ultimate Country Star I have been giving a blessing by having you and Toby Keith as part of my up and becoming PR woman thank you. … Thank you Cheryl
Dearest friend.
You are family, you are home. You have been with me all of my life and when I get homesick for family I have lost along the way, your beautiful voice takes me home where life for me all began.

I think more of you than ever before because you are giving God Almighty credit for your miracles and health in your life.
Apparently your love for God is strong and you are more humble than ever before.
I know God has given you the talent of singing and song-writing.
At 75 finally reconizing our loving God in your life!!
I have followed you since your singing began!!!
Always loved your songs and the songs you wrote.
Wish all musicians would reconize the Lord in their lives before it’s too late!!
Kindest regards, Gayle
I would just like to thank you for all the memories. Whenever I hear your music I have beautiful memories of my mother and my younger years as we loved your music so very much, and I as well fell in love with your music. Silver wings is and always will be my favorite. I am also so glad that you have turned your life over to the Lord. The Lord has blessed you with talent that is immeasurable. One question for you, would you please consider coming to Alberta Canada while on tour up north? You have many fans here that dream to see you live in concert one more time. My mom is now with the Lord but seeing you live performing would be a dream of mine. Keep up the good work and God bless you now and always.
Oops I accidently pressed the ? Insead of the !. Anyways i and many others are praying for you. Keep up the good work!
Merle, God bless you and thank you for your wonderful music. You are my all time favorite artist . Get well soon!
Yes thank God! I know I am not the only one grateful that the Lord isn’t ready for you to leave the world yet. Your music has made a wonderful difference to my life and to many others, I know. I wish you and family the best.
Merle, I like all these other fans send warmest regards & thank my Lord & Savior for all that He has done in your life. All of the glory & praise to His holy name. I pray that you will continue to grow in your faith. Nothing that we can accomplish on this earth can compare to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I have lifted you up before His throne of grace over the years & was thrilled to read your testimony. Continue to walk with the King.
Thank you, Merle, for sharing your blessings with us. God is so good, and he gave you all that talent as a reminder to the rest of us, of just what God can do. I have loved you and your music for many years, and it warms my heart that with Theresa and your children, you have found that warm family life you always craved. You are a good man — very human, honest and open — and the way you’ve kept landing on your feet after stumbliing is an inspiration to us all. Thank you, and may Jesus continue to hold you and yours in His loving arms. Warm best wishes to you all.
Just watch the broadcast from Billy Bob’s and you really called it right when you described being violated and treated like a mushroom. Hang in there Hag your have held my respect for 50 years and always speak and sing to the heart of the Red White & Blue Americans. And your right, when you say its like they don’t want us to stand proud anymore. The bad part is we have elected and empowered those who have put us in this spot. With Gods help as he did in 2010 we can continue to clean it up ourselves in 2012. God Bless
What a wonderful Father we have indeed. I am thankful for his blessings upon you and your family. I love your music and your testimony. Praise God for both
Just want you to know that we all love you and your music so dang much. Its been truly one of the highlights of my life. God first, my family second, and then there’s you and Willie
It just dont get much better than that unless you throw in Delbert. McClinton too. Thanks For your testimony shout it from the rooftops brother. God is Great.
Merle,
I am country girl from Bakersfield and as far back as I can remember have loved you and you music. My grandma used to tell me the story of when she and my grandpa and kids came to Bakersfield from Tulsa, Oklahoma during the dust bowl for a better life. She told me you and your family came at the same time and your family and mine spent time together on the trip over. What a great story for me to pass on to my kids, to tell them their grandma and great grandma spent time with such an amazing artist. You are truly an amazing man with an amazing past and future. God bless you and your family.

Pastor Melissa Scott has a place on her website that still has Dr. Scott going to Communion. With His stripes you were healed, in Jesus Name<3

Merle my heart is with you. A wise person once told me that we can have good luck and we can have bad luck, but blessings are always good. You are blessed my friend.
Our God is an awsome God. Praying for you even now as you battle pneumonia!
I’m goin from Suwanee, Ga. to Chula to see my mom on her 88th birthday–we’ll pray for you as we pass through Macon (I was born in that hospital 60 yrs ago) this Sat.–best wishes for a full recovery.
Mighty Merle, you stole my heart through your music when I was a dj on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. I’m now up here in Maine and all our prayers are with you, hoping for a speedy recovery with you in the good Lord’s care.
My husband and me were stationed in las Vegas when Merle started singing. I have always like his voice. At that time, he was performing at a casino, can’t remember which one now. A few years ago, my friends who sing met his son, who was called to preach the gospel. They told me how nice his son is and was impressed by his testimony. May God bless you Merle. Someone told me you were saved and that is a miracle for you and it was for me too. When anyone is saved is a miracle. May God continue to bless you and your family.
I recently met a friend by the name of Rex Cole (Country} who said he knew you very well. According to Rex. he met you when you were on tour in California. Rex (Country) who had grown up in Santa Cruz, CA. went on to say that he was asked to tour with you and at one point he said you did an event at Folsom Prison where he said you introduced him to Johnny Cash. At first I though Country was a little bit of BS but after Rex passed away last month I verified through his daughter that Rex was telling it like it really was. I felt bad that I had doubted his words and thought that I would have liked to spend more time listening to his life stories. I spent the last night with him holding his hand and telling him thilngs would work out all right and that things would get better. The next morning Rex went to be with his wife and the Lord as this was his final words to his nurse before he left the station. Merle, if you get the chance, Please mention his name at one of your shows esp. if u come to Seattle as Rex had lived here in Bremerton, WA for a long while.
May the Lord be with you and shine down on you and receive Rex(Country) with open arms.
Jackon
God bless you Merle as you continue to serve…..

Get well Merle. Love ya man.
Merle,
Thank you for your testimony to the power of prayer and I’m so happy to read where you give credit where credit is due! Such truth!
With the news of your recent hospitalization please know there are many of us, including myself, who continue to pray for the Lord’s healing touch. Strength to you, Mr. Haggard, and may your family take comfort in those words spoken so long ago…
I’m writing this message to you on behalf of my father who’s in heaven. He was (and probably still continues to be) without a doubt, one of your best fans! He went to be with the Lord in February, 2010, and during his memorial we played two of your songs, “Big City” and “Take my Hand, Precious Lord.” The song, Big City was very appropriate since he grew up in Montana
What a blessing to all who attended the memorial to hear your wonderful songs and your velvety voice. Needless to say you have God-given talents and abilities which have touched millions of people, as well as my family, deeply.
With that, I mentioned I’m writing this on behalf of dad so my prayer is you’ll be strong in the Lord during this time. I pray for healing so you can be discharged from the hospital soon and start enjoying those things you love to do.
And if that’s not in His plan, then I pray confidence in Jesus Christ to you as we anticipate Heaven filled with the beautiful music of Merle Haggard! I know my dad anxiously awaits a time when takes place but only in God’s timing. In the meantime, take care of yourself and be on the mend! Godspeed to your healing and know that you’re loved by so many.
Kindest regards in Him!
John 11:25-26
