“…a very special friend. Her name is Jessica Easley. She is 10 years old. Jessica has terminal bone cancer. She recently had her leg amputated. Her doctors have sent her home because they say there is no more that they can do . They have given her 2 to 3 weeks to live. SHE NEED ALL OF OUR PRAYERS OF HEALING! “THAT IF IT BE GOD’S WILL” JESSICA CAN BE HEALED COMPLETELY and go on to live her life fully and healthy like she was meant to.
So I post this letter in total faith that together we can ask Jesus to touch Jessica Easley and make her whole again. We ask of this healing in Jesus name.”

I came opon this while searching the internet for a report in english class on a famous person who we beleive is influential. and now after reading jessica’s storry i realize, that every day there is some sort of miricle. God’s miricles come in such a way we dont understand. with tears in my eyes as i read the storry and all the previous comments i Knew it was the right thing to join in the mourn of the loss of an innocent and enjoy the gain of a new angel. i have come to unlerstand that too many young people are hurt by this disease, me being only 13 and only in the 8th grad i realize how precious life is and poor jessica knew this all too well. every prayer i say will go to the easly family and loved ones. and may God and his might and his will be with you and every one with this wreched desease. i will be sure to includ this in my report and prayers. God works in mysterious ways…… we never know what to expect and we shouldnt expect them they aregifts not daily routines.GOD BLESS ALL!! I WOULD LIKE TO SAY A PRAYER. My heart is heavy and the tears roll down my face as i read of Jessicas passing. God wanted her home and all our prayers wouldnt of kept her here. God will see you thru this. Merle and Theresa, as someone that knew Jessica from Oncology camp at Camp Aldersgate here in Little Rock, Arkansas, I want to thank you for putting the request for her healing here on your site. Although, she did not receive physical healing here, she is HEALED and HOME in heaven. She had a sparkle in life, and her star now shines to help show the way home. Thanks for your love for kids with cancer, and let’s do our best to find a cure for all childhood cancer so we don’t have to have an oncology camp! Mike

Sorry to learn of Jessica’s passing to the better side. My maiden name is Easley. Ya never know….there may be a conncection way back somewhere. but for sure a connection through Jesus. My thoughts are with the parent……pray to have strength and the Lord to walk through this valley with them.

Oh, how it hits home and there is always that hope that seems to never come through. I know we have a very good and just Lord we just do not understand his magestic ways. When we entered our prayer on this website on Sept 29, Merle and Theresa had posted Jessica’s picture, and we mentioned that we believed that Christ’s love, His wisdom, and His peace were reflected in Jessica’s beautiful smile; and that truly, she is one of His. We are thankful for this little girl, whose faith, and the faith of her family, have been such an inspiration to so many. “We know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him.” We are thankful for Jessica’s life, and the example of faith and hope that she has provided for each one of us. Perhaps some will find comfort in two truths that God’s word provides for us. Christ said that “whenever two or more are gathered in my name, there I will also be.” And God’s word also states that for believers, our last breath on earth will usher our spirit directly into the presence of the Lord. We find it comforting to know, during those times that we gather in Christ’s name, that Christ is present with us, and simultaneously, our loved one’s are in His presence as well. ‘In the presence of Christ’, is the only place we can currently go, to share a common presence with our loved ones. It’s a very comforting place to be. Thank you Lord, for the life and love of a wonderful little girl. Bless her always, we pray. Thank you, Merle and Theresa.

I guess we are too late to pray for Jessica’s recovery having just found about her illness today. (10/15/09) Our sincere condolences to you her loving family. We do pray however for the soul of Jessica and pray that she is with God and Jesus in heaven, and that she will forever watch over you all until you meet with her again. While the hurt for you all will never go away, the wonderful memories of your daughter will live in your hearts, pure and sweet forever. God bless Jessica and all of her family and friends. The story of Jessica has touched my life as i am sure it has so many. I have followed her mother’s story through CaringBridge and what a amazing story not because of Jessica’s sickness but because now by his stripes she is healed and “TO GOD BE THE GLORY” another sweet angel has gained her wings in heaven and now has a new body! Her mother’s story is an amazing testimony of how she has gone through this so tough and was still able to tell her story and the “ickiness” of her daughter’s dreadful disease, a word that no one likes to hear young or old. I ask blessings on this family and that God will give them the peace that passes all understanding as they go through this difficult chapter in their life and as they now try to put their life back together with the family they have left and always know that little jessica is right there beside them looking down on them all the time.. And After Alll…..Who Needs A Prosthetic Leg When God Is The Great Physician???

My heart feels sadness today, just yesterday i came across this posting about young jessica, a little girl i never new, perhaps if i had had more faith of that unknown to me, it may have helped through prayer. I am truly sorry for the loss of young jessica, my heart and my family’s go out to all who love her. Another child, i wish it would stop.
